Major construction project affecting travel on Loch Lane
Due to construction activities along Loch Lane, the roadway will be closed to all but local traffic workdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Residents are urged to use alternative routes and avoid travel on Loch Lane. Please consider Hillandale Road, Beechwood Boulevard or Woodland Drive as alternative routes.
Loch Lane will be partially blocked with barricades at King Street and at the Beechwood Circle. Local residents are permitted to travel Loch Lane but may experience temporary interruptions. The Village is working with the contractor to minimize disruptions, but some delays and inconveniences will be inevitable.
The Village of Rye Brook Board of Trustees is working to improve the storm drainage system on Loch Lane and a portion of King Street at Comly Avenue. Earlier this winter, utility relocations necessary to accommodate the new drain system were performed. The Village’s contractor is installing the new drain system along Loch Lane. The major portion of the work is now beginning. This work involves substantial construction activity along Loch Lane and within the Beechwood Circle area.
To safely and efficiently perform the work, Loch Lane will be closed to all but local traffic during the workday. At times during the workday, the roadway may be also temporarily blocked to all traffic. However, the contractor will move equipment to allow a local resident through. Residents may be delayed for two or three minutes while the area is made safe for you and equipment maneuvers. Your patience during these times is appreciated.
Work will continue through March and into April, as the installation progresses up Loch Lane toward King Street and then onto King Street down to Comly Avenue.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the work and the site, please do not hesitate to contact Victor Carosi or Michal Nowak at (914) 939-0753. I thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this major infrastructure improvement project.
