Village elections were held on Tuesday, March 15, 2005. The newly elected Board Members are Trustee Paul Rosenberg and Trustee Michael Brown.
Rosenberg, a VP Technology in JP Morgan Chase's Investment Bank, previously served as a Village trustee from 2003 to 2004. During that time, he chaired the Coterminous Town/Village Committee, which investigated the merits of Rye Brook becoming an independent Town/Village. The committee made recommendations on how Rye Brook should enhance its relationship with the Town of Rye and whether seeking co-terminus status would save Rye Brook taxpayers money. Rosenberg also played an integral role in helping to foster an agreement with the Arbors Homeowners Association, allowing the Village to purchase land needed for the King Street Athletic Field Complex.
Brown, an attorney, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Arbors Homeowners Association (AHOA) since 2000. He is currently the President of the AHOA and has also served as a Vice President. In this capacity he was deeply involved in negotiations with the Village and the Blind Brook Board of Education over plans for the King Street Athletic Complex. Brown has also overseen a multi-million dollar infrastructure upgrade and a number of repair projects at the Arbors.
