PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
RIDGE ST./WAPPANOCCA AVE. PROJECT
The Westchester County Department of Public Works has announced that a public informational meeting will be held to discuss the proposed rehabilitation of North and South Ridge Street and Wappanocca Ave (County Roads 54, 54B, and 54C), in the City of Rye and Village of Rye Brook, Westchester County, New York. The informational meeting will be held at the Rye Brook Village Hall, 938 King St, Rye Brook, New York, on February 13, 2008, commencing at 7:00 p.m.
The County, in cooperation with the New York State Department of Transportation and
the Federal Highway Administration, is developing a design for roadway improvements on approximately 3.1 miles of roadway on Wappanocca Avenue from Highland Road to Purchase St., and on Ridge St. between Purchase St. and the Hutchinson River Parkway. Work includes asphalt milling and resurfacing, curb and sidewalk installation, and additional improvements.
The purpose of this meeting is to answer questions and receive comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials and local agencies. This public information meeting is part of the continuing efforts by the Westchester County Department of Public Works, the New York State Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration to encourage public input into the development of transportation projects.
