New Rochelle Humane Society “Tree of Love”

Come and help decorate the New Rochelle Humane Society’s Tree of Love.  Pictures of our NRHS dogs and cats available for adoption will be adorning the branches of this tree, along with their Valentine’s Day wishes for a forever home, bedding, food or toys.  For a $5 donation your very own Valentine’s Day smooch to the furry love of your life could be included on the Tree of Love. 70 Portman RoadNew Rochelle, NY 10801.  (914) 632-2925.

Adult Volunteer Orientation at New Rochelle Humane Society

To become an adult volunteer (18 years and older), simply fill out our adult volunteer form (download the form at www.nrochelleanimalshelter.org and  www.westchesteranimalshelter.org) and send it to the shelter. You will then need to attend a volunteer orientation, which is held at the shelter on the first Saturday of each month. The orientation is about one and a half hours long and will provide you with an introduction to our volunteer program. Junior Volunteer Orientation at New Rochelle Humane Society

Teenagers 14 to 17 years of age are welcome to participate in our junior volunteer program. To become a junior volunteer, you must full out our junior volunteer form, have it signed by a parent or guardian and return it to the shelter. You will then need to attend a junior volunteer orientation, which is held at the shelter on the second Sunday of each month. The orientation is about an hour long and will provide you with an introduction to our junior volunteer program. Parents do not need to be in attendance, although the signed volunteer form must be brought to the orientation. Ongoing campaign:  “BUY-A-BRICK” at New Rochelle Humane Society

Help create a beautiful doggie park at the shelter! A place where a shelter dog can relax outside with volunteers or staff. The park will be paved with bricks bearing your name or inscription of your choice.
