Westchester County is pleased to announce that the 2009 Westchester County Citizens' Volunteer Monitoring Training Schedule has just been finalized! This exciting program provides an opportunity for citizen volunteers to help the County create a baseline of water quality data on streams throughout the county. It also provides a great opportunity for Westchester's towns and villages to fulfill some of their Phase II Stormwater Public Participation and Involvement requirements.
The training takes place on a full Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
We will spend the whole day outside learning and practicing how to use the monitoring equipment!
The training dates and locations are:
Saturday, April 25 - Hilltop Hanover Farm, Yorktown Heights
Saturday, May 2 - Rye Nature Center, Rye
Saturday, May 9 - Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, Pocantico Hills
Saturday, May 16 - Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River
