Road Resurfacing
Release Date: August 24, 2015

High St. Closed Sept. 23rd and 24th  from 8pm to 7am; Other Street Paving to start Sept. 16th
High Street Closed for Night Work on September 23rd and 24TH from 8PM to 7AM:
Road work is progressing on High Street and there will be (2) scheduled night closures on September 23rd and September 24th from 8 pm through 7 am. During this time the road will be completely closed to traffic and detours will be posted.
Resurfacing of Other Scheduled Streets:
The Village of Rye Brook will begin road resurfacing operations on other scheduled streets beginning Wednesday September 16th and lasting for approximately (3) three weeks (Weather changes will affect the schedule). During this time, road surfaces will be milled, curbs removed and prepared for a new surface and curbing.
Road work will happen on the following roads in their respective order:

  1. Latonia from Winding Wood Road South to Mohegan Lane
  2. Hunter Drive from Latonia to Pine Ridge Road
  3. Pine Ridge Road from Latonia Road to Mark Drive
  4. Mohegan Lane from Pine Ridge Road to Cul-de-sac
During this time, residents can expect limited road closures, congestion and heavy equipment. Motorists are advised to be aware of elevated sewer drains and storm drains and use caution when driving over such roads, reduced speeds are strongly advised as these elevated structure may damage tires.
During the installation of new pavement, roads may be open to traffic on one lane only. Motorists cannot drive on newly paved surfaces unless signaled. Once paving operations are completed crews will begin to install curbing. Curbing installation will take a couple of weeks as there are a significant amount of curbs to reinstall, topsoil and seed backfill to follow behind. We ask for patience with the installation of curbing, this phase is very time and labor intensive.
