The Rye Arts Center
Student Studio: Emerging High School Talent
The next generation of talent is closer than you think!
The Rye Arts Center will present its fifth annual Student Studio: Emerging High School Talent, an exhibition celebrating the creative impulses and artistic commitment of high school-aged artists, March 8-March 24, 2007.
Twelve Westchester high schools in the Sound Shore area have been invited to nominate four of their students to participate in this special exhibition. Schools are allowed to select on their own criteria, and students are not limited in their choice of media or subject matter. Each student will have one work in the gallery and be honored at an opening reception on Thursday March 8, from 6-8 pm. The public is encouraged to attend this free event.
Invited schools include: Port Chester High School, Rye Country Day School, Rye High School, Rye Neck High School, White Plains High School, Blind Brook High School, Harrison High School, School of the Holy Child, Mamaroneck High School, New Rochelle High School, Scarsdale High School and Edgemont High School.
This exhibition is graciously sponsored by many local businesses from Larchmont and Greenwich who are listed in the gallery during the show.
The Rye Arts Center is located at 51 Milton Road, Rye, NY. Regular gallery hours are 9:30 - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, and Saturday from 10-4.
