Rye Arts Center 2011 Fundraiser
Release Date: February 01, 2011

The Rye Arts Center, the largest not-for-profit multi-arts center in Westchester, is holding our biennial fundraiser, “The Phone Gala.”  Throughout February, we are asking individuals and businesses to make donations rather than purchase tickets for a special event, so 100% of donations are tax-deductible.

Donations can be made at our website, www.ryeartscenter.org, or by calling The RAC at 914-967-0700.  On Monday, March 7, we will hold a phone-a-thon to contact those who have not yet responded to our request for support.  That evening, we will also raffle off eleven fabulous prizes, including a luxurious weekend for two at Stratton Mountain, a Hermès bracelet, and tickets to the NY Knicks.  Raffle chances are $25 each or five for $100.

This type of fundraiser eliminates the expenses associated with a large benefit, and the money generated will go directly to need-based services, such as Headstart, gallery exhibitions, performing arts events, and general operating needs.  Since The RAC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, contributions are 100% tax-deductible.  Supporters of this event will be recognized in The Rye Record on March 25.

In naming The Rye Arts Center one of New York’s top non-profit organizations two years in a row, Contribute Magazine recognized The RAC for its financial stability and fundraising efficiency. The Rye Arts Center is also an accredited charity under the New York Better Business Bureau.  To learn more about The Rye Arts Center or to make an online contribution, please visit our website at www.ryeartscenter.org.

The Rye Arts Center gratefully acknowledges William Raveis Realty of Rye for supporting The Phone Gala.

The Rye Arts Center is a community-based, not-for-profit organization, whose mission is to inspire interest and maximum participation in the arts in Westchester and the surrounding region.  We are committed to offering programs that are characterized by artistic tradition, educational value, and a spirit of innovation.
