Storm Debris Must Be at the Curb by Monday, December 3rd:
Storm debris collection from Hurricane Sandy continues as public works crews are balancing leaf collection while assisting residents with storm debris cleanup. Public work crews have made approximately one pass through the entire village collecting storm debris as a result of Hurricane Sandy and will make one additional pass through the village beginning next week. Residents must place all storm debris, consisting of branches, limbs, or small logs of a reasonable size (i.e. handled by hand by one person) at curbside by December 3, 2012. At that time public work crews will make one additional pass on each street throughout the village to collect storm debris. After this collection all green waste will be collected by the village’s contractor for normal green waste pickup and procedures.
Residents are asked to be patient with the collection of leaves and branches, and to please follow the procedures below which will make the program proceed more efficiently:
Any questions about collection procedures should be directed to Public Works at (914) 939-0753.
