Port Chester Contractor to be Honored

Port Chester Contractor to be Honored by
Non-profit for Building Local Community Ties;
He’s also helped lay foundation for Hurricane Katrina relief

Event: Cerebral Palsy of Westchester’s (CP/W) Pioneer Social Club will be honoring Anthony Casterella, local business owner and generous community contributor for his deep commitment and long friendship with CP/W. Not only has he dedicated himself to building upon CP/W’s mission but he also recently took a crew of workers down to Slidell, Louisiana bringing supplies, fuel and assistance to victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Mr. Casterella will be the recipient of the distinguished Friendship Award. This award is presented annually to an individual or a group of individual’s who has volunteered their time and energy to help others. The award will be presented at the Pioneer Social Club Dinner Dance on Thursday, September 22, 2005.

This year Mr. Casterella very generously, gave a significant donation to CP/W’s Wheelchair Basketball team, the Barrier Breakers, which enabled them to purchase much-needed equipment for the team’s upcoming season. His company, Cast Construction, has shown their support throughout the years and sponsored significant CP/W events including our Golf Tournament, and Walk/Run/Push event. Mr. Casterella has also assisted CP/W’s new Education Training Center by making an in-kind donation of a washer and dryer.
