Student Studio: Emerging High School Talent
The next generation of talent is closer than you think!

The Rye Arts Center will present its sixth annual Student Studio: Emerging High School Talent exhibition, which celebrates the creative impulses and artistic commitment of high school-aged artists, from March 6th through March 20th, 2008.

An increased number of high schools in the Sound Shore area have been invited to each select four students to represent their school and art department in this special exhibition.  Schools are allowed to select on their own criteria, and students are not limited in their choice of media or subject matter.  Each student will hang one work in the gallery and be honored at an opening reception on Thursday, March 6th, from 6:00-7:30 pm.  The public is encouraged to attend this free event.

Invited schools include: Blind Brook High School, French-American School of New York, German School New York, Greenwich High School, Harrison High School, Keio Academy of New York, Mamaroneck High School, New Rochelle High School, Port Chester High School, Rye Country Day School, Rye High School, Rye Neck High School, Scarsdale High School, School of the Holy Child, and White Plains High School.

This exhibition is sponsored by many local businesses from Larchmont to Greenwich all of whom will be listed in the gallery during the show.

The Rye Arts Center is located at 51 Milton Road, Rye, NY.  Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
