President Bush declared Westchester County a federal disaster area. This currently applies to individuals and business that suffered damage from the April 15th storm. Beginning April 25, Rye Brook residents and businesses can apply. FEMA has set up a Disaster Recovery Center in Mamaroneck (visit www.westchestergov.com or Westchester County Storm News for locations & times), or residents may register for aid online at: www.fema.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA. We urge all Rye Brook residents that sustained damage due to the storm to contact your insurance agency, and document any losses with photographs and receipts which will be helpful when applying for federal aid.
